Known history
Later went to the United States and dropped out of the AC Owners' Club's records. Acquired by its present owner gutted and stripped. The ash was in relatively good condition, which suggests long storage in a dry climate, and there was evidence of a poorly executed earlier attempt, apparently at a V8 conversion, by an unknown previous owner. Rebuilt as a restomod by Vintage Underground of Eugene, Oregon, January 2020 to May 2026: fuel-injected Ford 302 V8 (block from an early-1970s Ford Torino), dyno-tuned to 380 bhp; TKX five-speed gearbox; early Cobra 3.73 differential with Cobra rear framing, suspension and four-wheel disc brakes; Ben Yates rack and pinion; QA1 dampers; main frame tubes sleeved, strengthened, powder coated and Waxoyled internally. Now maroon and cream with tan interior. History and current specification from the present owner, 2026.
